@WBrooksUVA Hmm, was this extract or all grain? We do sometimes see darker beers from the malt extract esp LME. For all grain it can still happen from longer boil time/higher mash temp leading to caramelization. High pH levels in water, oxidation, a lot of reasons it can happen!

@DanoGridiron honestly the ingredients will be fine for a while, after more than a few months (6-ish) grains can get a little stale and hops can get a little "cheesy" but really nothing goes bad and we've had people use VERY old kits that turn out still tasting like beer lol.
