We are thrilled to announce that six of our parks and green spaces have once again been recognised among the very best in the country, receiving prestigious Green Flag Awards for 2026.

Awarded by Keep Britain Tidy, it celebrates well-managed parks and green spaces that are welcoming, safe and maintained to the highest standards.

Eaton Park, Waterloo Park, Jenny Lind Park, Mousehold Heath, Heigham Park and Kett’s Heights have all retained Green Flag Award status.

In addition, Eaton Park, Waterloo Park and Kett's Heights have achieved Green Heritage Site Accreditation, recognising the excellent management and promotion of their historic features.

England fans – good news! ⚽🍻

If you're planning to cheer on England in their World Cup match against Mexico in the early hours of Monday morning, you'll be able to stay and watch the full game at many of your local licensed venues.

The government has introduced emergency legislation relaxing licensing hours until 5am on Monday 6 July, meaning licensed premises can stay open for the duration of the match without needing to apply for a Temporary Event Notice.

If you're heading out to support the Three Lions, enjoy the occasion, support your local pubs and bars, and please celebrate responsibly.
