🇨🇦 🇵🇸 REPORT | Hundreds of Canadians, in what organizers described as a “people’s arms embargo,” took to the streets across the country on Thursday, to put suppliers for notorious Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems on notice: divest or face sustained public pressure.
Activists with the Arms Embargo Now coalition picketed and leafletted outside industrial facilities from British Columbia to Newfoundland, targeting more than 40 companies identified as suppliers, manufacturers, or logistics partners connected to Elbit, Israel’s largest weapons firm, and one that boasts of battle-testing its products in Gaza. They also launched a pressure campaign aimed at senior executives at dozens of the targeted companies, flooding them with emails. The message: Cut ties with Elbit now.
One target is TTM Technologies in Ontario, which has shipped millions of dollars’ worth of circuit boards to Elbit for use in precision-strike munitions. “Providing circuit boards for Elbit’s Lizard laser-guidance kits isn’t some distant or neutral business relationship,” says Haneen Ismail, an organizer with the Palestinian Youth Movement and Arms Embargo Now. “A company like Elbit is a dedicated war machine, but many of its suppliers in Canada operate largely outside of public scrutiny while providing the components and technology it relies on. We are ending that anonymity.”
The movement has already seen significant victories. Last week, Montreal-based Elbit supplier Apollo Microwaves ended its contracts with the company after organizers with Arms Embargo Now pressed it to do so. And after campaigners targeted Scotiabank, Canada’s third-largest commercial bank and once Elbit’s largest foreign shareholder, it pulled its $500 million investment earlier this year. Elbit’s CEO later complained to the Israeli press that the divestment was the work of the damned Canadian public.

The moment Zionists massacred a team of rescue workers in a double tap.
First they killed a father and his daughter, then bombed a medical team that arrived on the scene with their ambulance
On this day in 1996, israel launched a 16 day campaign of slaughter on southern Lebanon that subjected the region to mass killing, forced displacement, and ethnic cleansing. The enemy called this campaign “operation grapes of wrath.”
Across the South, from villages to agricultural lands, civilian life was systematically dismantled. Homes, roads, power infrastructure, and water sources were bombed. Over 400,000 Lebanese, largely from the Shia population of south Lebanon, were forcibly displaced within days. Entire communities were emptied under fire.
At the center of this campaign was the Qana massacre. israel shelled a UN compound sheltering civilians, killing more than 100 people, the majority women, children, and elderly. Many of the martyrs were recovered dismembered and unrecognizable due to the intensity of the bombardment. Infants were found with missing heads.
In the Mansouri massacre, ambulances evacuating wounded civilians were directly targeted and struck. Those inside, including the injured and those assisting them, were killed or wounded. Rescue efforts themselves became targets, as they continue to be today.
Tens of other massacres targeting civilian convoys, homes, and shelters were carried out across south Lebanon during this period, producing repeated mass casualties, with bodies fragmented and disintegrated by shelling and civilians killed while attempting to flee.
The role of UNIFIL was also exposed. Investigations concluded that its positions were compromised, with israeli forces maintaining surveillance and targeting of areas under UN protection, leaving civilians who sought refuge there vulnerable.
This ethnic cleansing constituted collective punishment driving civilians from their land through sustained violence to further the israeli occupation of southern Lebanon and deter resistance after years of ongoing occupation since 1982.

NBC: Are you afraid of a U.S. invasion in your country?
Araghchi: No, we are waiting for them.
NBC: You are waiting for the U.S. military to invade, the ground troops?
Araghchi: Yes. That would be a big disaster for them.
⭕️ REPORT: U.S. and Israel seeking armed uprising inside Iran
The U.S. and Israel are seeking to trigger an armed rebellion inside Iran using Kurdish fighters in the country’s west, with a potential ground operation expected within days, ITV News and CNN both report separately.
According to Kurdish sources cited by ITV, weapons have been smuggled into western Iran since the 2025 war to arm thousands of Kurdish volunteers. Recent U.S.–Israeli strikes in the region have targeted Iranian security infrastructure to weaken defenses ahead of a possible uprising.
Sources say Kurdish forces have requested U.S. and Israeli air cover if the operation begins. President Donald Trump has reportedly spoken recently with Iranian and Iraqi Kurdish leaders based in northern Iraq.
Analysts caution that Iran has heavily fortified Kurdish regions and would likely respond forcefully to any rebellion.

At least 70 people, including some 60 children, were killed when U.S. and Israeli strikes hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ elementary school in Minab, southern Iran, according to the Fars News.
The attack reportedly struck during school hours, with about 170 girls inside. Videos show families screaming and digging through rubble as rescue crews searched for survivors. Tehran has vowed retaliation.
Dr. Foad Izadi of the University of Tehran told Al Jazeera: “We are fighting the epstein class that either rapes little girls or bombs little girls.”

Statement from the family of Alex Pretti, murdered by CBP agents in Minneapolis:
"We are heartbroken but also very angry.
Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately he will not be with us to see his impact. I do not throw around the hero term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman.
The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down all while being pepper sprayed.
Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you."
The murders of unarmed civilians on the streets of Minneapolis, including the killing today of the intensive-care nurse Alex Jeffrey Pretti, would not come as a shock to Iraqis in Fallujah or Afghans in Helmand province. They were terrorized by heavily armed American execution squads for decades. It would not come as a shock to any of the students I teach in prison. Militarized police in poor urban neighborhoods kick down doors without warrants and kill with the same impunity and lack of accountability. What the rest of us are facing now, is what Aimé Césaire called imperial boomerang. Empires, when they decay, employ the savage forms of control on those they subjugate abroad, or those demonized by the wider society in the name of law and order, on the homeland. The tyranny Athens imposed on others, Thucydides noted, it finally, with the collapse of Athenian democracy, imposed on itself. But before we became the victims of state terror, we were accomplices. Before we expressed moral outrage at the indiscriminate taking of innocent lives, we tolerated, and often celebrated, the same Gestapo tactics, as long as they were directed at those who lived in the nations we occupied or poor people of color. We sowed the wind, now we will reap the whirlwind. The machinery of terror, perfected on those we abandoned and betrayed, including the Palestinians in Gaza, is ready for us.
