@simonmontefiore@RabbiWolpe A local professor was asked by a colleague what she should buy her teenage nephew for his birthday. He replied “why don’t you buy him a nice book?” “Oh, he’s already got one” was her reply.

Our East Midlands Manager was delighted to attend the Menorah lighting in Nottingham last night with Steve Yemm, @LilianGreenwood and @jameswnaish where families and people from all ages pushed away darkness and celebrated Chanukah with latkes, doughnuts, face painting and games.
10:45 PM. A Jewish patient in the ER hasn’t eaten in 16 hrs. Who do they reach out to?
The Lents from Chabad at @NottsChabad.
Mrs. Brocha Lent cooks a fresh kosher meal.
Rabbi Mendy Lent delivers it right away.
This is what we mean by Chabad on Campus being #HereForYou.
Any time, any distance, every Jew.
@nottspolice is it normal to be waiting 48 hrs after reporting a robbery without hearing from anyone? I Tracked my stolen computer which has most of my life on it to an address and prob could’ve been retrieved had someone gone round… 101 keep saying no one assigned to case yet.
The rain didn’t dampen our spirits - or the #Chanukah flames - as we lit at @TrentUni outside the SU @TrentEvents. Thanks to the Faith ambassadors for joining and sharing wonderful words. Delicious latkes, doughnuts and hot cocoa enjoyed by all who joined.
Wonderful #Chanukah lighting ceremony for over 150 people at @nottinghamcastle with @MyNottingham Sheriff @CouncillorQ, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture Pavlos Kotsonis and events officer Richard Buxton. Wonderful atmosphere, superb fire show and great food!
It was my pleasure to visit Jewish students in Nottingham last night.
It is an inspiration for me to witness the way in which our students have responded with determination and pride in their Judaism in the face of significant challenges.
As a community we must support our students, and we can be immensely proud of them.
For the first time in the university’s 141-year history, hot kosher meals will be available at all campus dining halls.
