🏫 @Hughes_Hall is one of three mature Colleges and only accepts undergraduate students over 21, but what else do you know about it?
1️⃣ Founded in 1885 as Cambridge Training College for Women Teachers, the College was renamed Hughes Hall in 1948 to honour its first Principal, Elizabeth Phillips Hughes, a pioneer of women's teacher training.
2️⃣ The College library houses the Ohtake Collection, a magnificent assemblage of books amassed by the late Professor Masatsugu Ohtake, featuring books from William Morris’ Kelmscott Press, first editions of poet Edward Thomas' works, and the school diary of Siegfried Sassoon.
3️⃣ Today, Hughes Hall’s students come from more than 80 countries, including 200+ undergraduates, 700+ postgraduates and 250+ Fellows.

Yesterday, we commenced a 2-day high-level Pre-Global Disability Summit Workshop focused on disability inclusive education. The event was which was held at @Hughes_Hall, University of Cambridge was co-organised with the @WorldBank, @CBM_Global, @IDA_CRPD_Forum & @UNICEF.
