"The National Unity Government (NUG) designates online scam centers operating in Myanmar as a primary financial source funding the criminal activities of the military junta and its Border Guard Forces (BGF), viewing them as a global threat that encompasses human trafficking, modern slavery, and transnational crime. The NUG maintains a Zero-Tolerance Policy toward transnational crimes, including online scam operations, gambling, human trafficking, and illicit drug trades. It is essential not to treat victims forced into compliance as criminals, but to safeguard them as victims, while specifically targeting the military junta, BGFs, criminal ringleaders, and key beneficiaries who profit from these operations. To prevent Myanmar from becoming a hub for cybercrime, the NUG has established a Taskforce on Countering Transnational Organized Crime. The NUG remains firmly committed to collaborating with neighboring countries—including China, India, and Thailand—as well as Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs) and international law enforcement agencies to exchange intelligence, eradicate criminal networks, seize illicit funds to restore them to victims, and ensure regional security and stability."

"Resist and Fight back Junta's Forced Conscription Scheme"
1. After suffering the destruction of most of its core combat forces between 2021 and 2024, the junta activated the People's Military Service Law—a forced conscription mechanism—in February 2024, in an attempt to prolong its grip on power by sacrificing the lives of civilian youth.
2. Having seized power unlawfully from a legitimate, democratically elected government, the military junta holds neither the legal authority nor the legitimate right to enact or enforce legislation with such severe consequences for the public. Enforcing this measure amounts to nothing less than a system of forced military servitude imposed on the people.
3. Between July 2024 and August 2026, the junta opened 27 intake batches under this conscription program, forcibly drafting approximately 135,080 individuals. These forced conscripts are now being deployed in human-wave offensives across the country, making up as much as 80 percent of the troops in the junta's operational columns.
4. An assessment of the junta's military operations indicates that, despite reckless offensives that gamble with the lives of hundreds of thousands of conscripts, it has failed to achieve its objectives on any front. On the contrary, effective counterattacks by revolutionary forces have inflicted catastrophic casualties on its ranks.
5. According to records maintained by the Ministry of Defence, over the two-year period from July 2024 to August 2026, the terrorist military sustained 20,383 personnel killed in action, 9,792 wounded, 3,874 defected, and approximately 20,000 self-initiated desertions. The vast majority of these casualties and losses were forcibly conscripted recruits. In addition, the Ministry of Defence currently holds 536 prisoners of war (POWs).
6. In urban centers under junta control, Pyusawhti militias, criminal networks, and ward and village administrative bodies have formed syndicates that openly carry out daily abductions, human trafficking, and extortion targeting affluent families—posing a severe threat to the safety of young people. These kidnapping and trafficking operations have become a primary source of illicit revenue for these criminal networks.
7. This forced conscription program, which consumes the lives of young citizens, serves as the junta's primary lifeline. As the junta expands its recruitment targets to include young women alongside young men, it is imperative that the public unite and actively resist this scheme. Young people of eligible age must take every available measure to evade forced recruitment.
8. Young people of eligible age are urged to:
(a) Relocate immediately to liberated areas or abroad if at risk of forced conscription;
(b) Avoid traveling alone and refrain from going out at night, in order to minimize the risk of arbitrary abduction and forced portering;
(c) If conscription becomes unavoidable, desert and defect at the first viable opportunity, bringing service weapons along whenever feasible.
In taking these actions, individuals are encouraged to contact and seek assistance from revolutionary forces, including: the People's Defence Force (PDF) Headquarters and local battalions; the People's Defence Organization (PDO) Headquarters and its regional, district, and township formations; People's Administrative Organization (PAO); People's Security Organization (PSO); defection support networks; and Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs).
9. Local communities are strongly urged not to remain passive bystanders when witnessing forced abductions or recruitment in their neighborhoods, but instead to mobilize collective community resistance to prevent them.
10. Parents and spouses are urged to remain vigilant and take active steps to protect their children and husbands.
11. Youth arriving in liberated areas will be given the opportunity to contribute to public services matching their skills and interests—including education, healthcare, relief efforts for internally displaced persons (IDPs), regional development, and local production. Those wishing to take on combat roles may join the People's Defence Force (PDF) or People's Defence Organization (PDO), subject to eligibility requirements. Arrangements will also be made for those who wish to continue their formal education. While life in liberated areas involves hardships shared with revolutionary comrades and the people, one can live with dignity and personal security.
12. While the People's Defence Force will continue to engage and defeat enemy forces on the battlefield, it will also facilitate necessary contact, care, and protection for conscripts who choose to desert the junta's ranks. Appropriate monetary rewards will be granted to those who defect with weapons, and reasonable support will be arranged for individuals who make prior contact with the intention of leaving the country.
Forcibly conscripted individuals are urgently called upon to break free from serving as cannon fodder for the prolongation of military dictatorship, to desert the terrorist armed forces without delay, and to coordinate with the people's revolutionary forces.

"Situation Report on Flooding as of August 18, 2026"
Ministry of Social, Labour and Humanitarian Affairs - NUG
Due to consecutive days of heavy rainfall and the release of water from dams and reservoirs in upper Myanmar, #flooding and inundation are currently affecting 23 townships across Sagaing Unit, #Mandalay Unit, and Ayeyarwady Region. The floods have affected approximately 111,672 households, or 470,648 people, with 28 fatalities and 2 people reported missing.
More than 50% of the affected population is in #Sagaing Unit. As rainfall continues and rivers and streams remain swollen and at high levels, the current situation indicates that floodwaters are unlikely to recede in the immediate term.
#MyanmarFlood #FloodRelief #HumanitarianAid #DisasterRelief
The National Unity Government (NUG), the Mandalay Interim Governing Council (MIGC), the Sagaing Federal Unit, and various revolutionary organizations are actively carrying out urgent relief efforts in flood-stricken areas across Sagaing and Mandalay Regions.
Key response and mitigation measures currently underway include:
1) Evacuation & Emergency Aid: Timely evacuation of villagers to safer ground, alongside the distribution of critical emergency supplies.
2) Healthcare Provision: Timely healthcare and medical support tailored for vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, children, and the elderly.
3) Infrastructure Reinforcement: Utilizing heavy machinery to reinforce critical canal embankments and dams at risk of breaching.
4) Agricultural & Livestock Advisories: Issuing public advisories to mitigate crop damage and prevent disease outbreaks among draft cattle and livestock.
5) Despite these intensive efforts, international assistance remains urgently required to sustain ongoing emergency relief and long-term rehabilitation.
During these rescue operations, a comrade from the Shwebo Township People's Defense Organization tragically lost his life while performing manual rescues due to a severe shortage of boats. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones for this immense sacrifice.
Crucially, the military junta continues to launch airstrikes on active flood relief locations and carry out attacks while impersonating revolutionary forces. These actions constitute blatant and egregious violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) and the Geneva Conventions.
We urgently call upon the international community, the United Nations, and human rights bodies to uphold their international responsibilities, break their silence, and actively condemn these grave violations of international humanitarian law.
(Information regarding civilian casualties and total losses will be continuously updated and released.)

Statement Regarding Informal Meeting between #ASEAN and the Myanmar Military Junta
(12 July 2026)
What Atrocities Did the Junta Commit During Its 100-Day Scheme?
The military junta, while desperately pretending to be a good leader, has installed #MinAungHlaing as proxy president to aggressively push its "100-Day Plan." Their goal is to deceive the world with a sham election and a puppet parliament. However, within the past 70 days alone, the Ministry of Human Rights documented 1,045 Human Rights violations.
These blatant war crimes include targeted massacres, systematic airstrikes on displacement camps, and the burning of civilian homes.
This raises a critical question for the world: How can a regime seeking international legitimacy through a "100-Day Plan" brutally slaughter its own people? Their proclaimed "100 Days of Stability" is actually "100 Days of Atrocities" built on blood, ashes, and lives. Detailed evidence can be found in the infographic below.
These targeted aerial attacks must stop immediately. The Ministry of Human Rights urgently calls on the international community to swiftly sanction and cut off all aviation fuel supply chains and financial resources flowing to the military junta.
