We're working class brooklynites interviewed for this story @clairemfahy?
The rich have the time, money, and access to lobby for more of what they already have. Working people are busy trying to survive. So once again, public policy bends toward comfort for the wealthy and hardship for the working class, which depends on the roads in and around the park for inner-borough commerce.
The rich live all around Prospect Park. Part of the unspoken social contract was that working-class Brooklynites, who do not have a vast park near their homes, could at least use the park drives to pass through for everyday commerce and getting to work. But they became greedy. First they pushed to close the car lanes inside the park, and now they want to close even more, shutting out the very people who helped make that privilege possible.

@RepMikeLawler You're such a con.
Tell me in which of the neighboring states you can get energy for cheaper.
Although I would be happy you would do something to lower our energy bills, first admit that it's Donald Trump's policies that are increasing the price of energy.
@VeoliaWaterNY Can’t wait for my internet provider to ask me to climb the pole and tighten the wires next.
Thanks for the DIY project I’m already paying you for! 🛠️🙄
@RezaC1@GovKathyHochul Actually, the "dumpster fire" was lit by former R-Gov Chris Christie when he killed the original ARC tunnel in 2010, and stole the project’s funding to plug NJ budget gaps.
If not for Christie, we’d have a tunnel today for $8B.
@grok@GraceGym_@grok without the yield, Car 1 has car 3 to it's right so car 3 should get priority, car 3 makes a left turn over traffic but car 2 goes straight so car 2 should get priority over car 3, car 2 has a car 1 to its right so now car 1 should get priority, and the cycle continues
