Wow. What a crazy week. Six days ago, I had the absolute thrill of watching my 8th NYS Champion ascend the podium. Today I had the gut wrenching experience of learning that apparently I won’t be appointed to the coaching position next year. The only reason? A matter of principle.

I suspect a lot of people do not grasp the enormity of this meet. The logistics of a three-class meet are daunting -- including moving almost three times as many athletes through two days of competition than participate in a 10-day long U.S. Olympic Trials.
For those wondering about the State Semi-finals, the rain is hitting HARD (again). All games are delayed.
Thankfully, every field at Greenlight Park has lights, so 🤞games can resume sometime today.
Welcome to Binghamton weather...

@sfj8888 For what it's worth, the TV guys are typically pampered when it comes to parking at sporting events. They've always taken warning signs about fire lanes as mere suggestions on the rare occasions when a team or a school doesn't give them the VIP treatment.
End 2. Mamaroneck 18, Monroe-Woodbury 2.
Both coaches have agreed to skip halftime and start the third quarter in hopes of getting out of here before the weather moves in.
