At ETHConf, our co-CEO Deepthi Kumar shared how we're thinking about the next chapter of zero knowledge.

First, ZK helped protect privacy.
Then it helped scale blockchains.

The same technology can help make real-world operations verifiable.

We're exploring what we call ZK-Gated Execution: a model where high-stakes actions require cryptographic proof that the relevant rules were followed before the action can proceed.

We believe bringing verifiability to real workflows is one of the most important opportunities for ZK adoption beyond crypto.

Alan, Engineering Manager at o1Labs, shared updates from Mesa Trail, including successful validation of both automated and legacy upgrade paths, multiple load-testing campaigns, a completed emergency hard fork drill, and end-to-end testing of the full upgrade process.
