Today, we announced our next phase of the Assault Style Firearm Compensation Program, which will remove thousands of assault style guns off our streets—Canadians want this.

By capping the amount of compensation that can be paid out, the government is creating a competitive atmosphere where people that don’t even agree with the program are going to be coerced into participating just so they’re not left with nothing at the end.
