منظمة التعاون الإسلامي والأمم المتحدة تجتمعان في جنيف لاستعراض التعاون في معالجة القضايا الإقليمية والدولية

انطلقت اليوم، 22 يوليو 2026، في مكتب الأمم المتحدة بجنيف، سويسرا، الدورة السابعة عشرة للاجتماع العام للتعاون الذي يُعقد كل سنتين بين أمانتي الأمم المتحدة ومنظمة التعاون الإسلامي ومؤسساتهما ووكالاتهما المتخصصة ذات الصلة.

ويترأس الاجتماع بشكل مشترك الدكتور أحمد كاويسا سينجيندو، الأمين العام المساعد لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي للشؤون الاقتصادية، والسفير خالد خياري، الأمين العام المساعد للأمم المتحدة لشؤون الشرق الأوسط وأوروبا والأمريكتين وآسيا والمحيط الهادئ. ويحضر الاجتماع كبار المسؤولين من الأمانة العامة والمؤسسات ذات الصلة التابعة لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي ووكالات الأمم المتحدة.

وأكد الأمين العام لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي، سعادة السيد حسين إبراهيم طه، في رسالته التي ألقاها الدكتور أحمد سينجيندو خلال الجلسة الافتتاحية، حرص المنظمة على تعزيز التعاون مع الأمم المتحدة لمعالجة القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، وفي مقدمتها قضية فلسطين والقدس الشريف، ولتحقيق التنمية المستدامة في الدول الأعضاء المشتركة.

ويبحث الاجتماع، الذي يستمر لمدة ثلاثة أيام حتى 24 يوليو 2024، تقييم أنشطة التعاون التي تم الاتفاق عليها سابقًا، ومناقشة مجالات التعاون المستقبلية، فضلاً عن تبادل الآراء حول القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك. كما يستعرض الاجتماع تنفيذ «مصفوفة الأنشطة المشتركة» التي اعتمدها الاجتماع العام للتعاون الذي عُقد في أستانا، بجمهورية كازاخستان، في يوليو 2024. وتغطي هذه المصفوفة التعاون بين منظمة التعاون الإسلامي والأمم المتحدة في عدد من المجالات مثل السلام والأمن، ومكافحة الإسلاموفوبيا، ومكافحة التطرف العنيف، وحقوق الإنسان، وتمكين المرأة، والتعليم، والمساعدة الإنسانية، والتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية المستدامة، بما في ذلك تغير المناخ والحد من مخاطر الكوارث.

OIC and UN Meet in Geneva to Review the Cooperation towards
Addressing Regional and International Issues.

The 17th Session of the Biennial General Cooperation Meeting between the Secretariats of the United Nations (UN) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and their relevant institutions and specialized agencies has started today, on 22nd July, 2026, at the United Nations Office at Geneva, Switzerland.
The meeting is co-chaired by Dr. Ahmad Kawesa Sengendo, OIC Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs, and Amb. Khaled Khiari, Assistant Secretary-General for the Middle East, Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations. The meeting is being attended by the senior officials from the General Secretariat, the relevant OIC institutions and UN agencies.
The OIC Secretary-General, H.E. Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, in his message delivered by Dr. Ahmad Sengendo during the opening session affirmed the OIC's keenness to enhance cooperation with the UN to address regional and international issues, foremost among them the issue of Palestine and Al-Quds Al-Sharif., and to achieve sustainable development in common Member States.
The three-day-meeting, which will continue until 24th July, 2024, will take stock of the previously agreed cooperation activities, and discuss future areas of collaboration as well as exchange views on regional and international issues of common concerns. It will also review the implementation of the Matrix of Joint Activities adopted by the General Cooperation Meeting held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan in July 2024. It covers cooperation between OIC and the UN in areas such as peace and security, combating Islamophobia, countering violent extremism, human rights, women empowerment, education, humanitarian assistance, sustainable socio-economic development, including climate change and disaster risk reduction, among others.

L'OCI participe à la Conférence mondiale sur l'intelligence artificielle et à la réunion de haut niveau sur la gouvernance de l'IA à Shanghai

Le Secrétariat général de l'Organisation de coopération islamique (OCI) a pris part à la Conférence mondiale sur l'intelligence artificielle et à la réunion de haut niveau sur la gouvernance de l'IA qui se sont tenues à Shanghai du 17 au 20 juillet 2026.

Représentant le Secrétariat général de l’OCI, M. Abdunur M. Sekindi, directeur général du Département des sciences et des technologies, s’est joint à des décideurs politiques, à des dirigeants d’organisations internationales et à des responsables du monde universitaire et de l’industrie pour discuter de l’avenir de la gouvernance de l’intelligence artificielle.

La cérémonie d’ouverture a réuni des chefs d’État et de gouvernement, notamment S.E. Xi Jinping, président de la République populaire de Chine, ainsi que des dirigeants du Kazakhstan et du Cambodge, le secrétaire général des Nations unies et d’autres invités de marque.

En marge de la conférence, M. Sekindi a tenu des réunions fructueuses avec les chefs de délégation et de hauts responsables chinois. Les discussions ont porté sur la manière dont l’OCI peut contribuer à l’élaboration d’un cadre mondial de gouvernance de l’IA équitable, sûr, inclusif et centré sur l’humain, qui reflète les valeurs et les priorités des États membres de l’OCI.

Dans le cadre de cette mission, M. Sekindi a mené des consultations avec des représentants de la Ligue arabe, de l’Union africaine et du Conseil de coopération du Golfe afin de comparer les expériences et les meilleures pratiques. L’objectif est d’éclairer l’élaboration de la « Vision de l’OCI en matière d’IA », actuellement en cours de préparation par le Secrétariat général.

S’exprimant à l’occasion de ces rencontres, M. Sekindi a réaffirmé l’engagement de l’OCI à veiller à ce que le développement et la gouvernance de l’IA soient au service de l’humanité, comblent la fracture numérique et favorisent la coopération entre les États membres dans les domaines de la science, de la technologie et de l’innovation.

La participation de l’OCI souligne sa détermination à jouer un rôle actif dans l’orientation du dialogue international sur l’IA, tout en veillant à ce que les perspectives du monde islamique soient prises en compte dans les normes et politiques mondiales émergentes.
