ODIHR works across the OSCE region to support democratic elections and institutions, promote the rule of law, protect human rights, and build tolerant societies
ODIHR is deeply saddened by yesterday’s renewed Russian massive attacks against Ukraine, which caused the deaths of civilians and damage to civilian infrastructure, in blatant violation of international humanitarian law. These attacks must end now.
"Thanks for sharing with us this important document.
We'd like to share it with our community, our hate crime experts, comment on it, and work much more closely with you."

@EuForumRJ In June, at the 13th International Conference of the European Forum for Restorative Justice in Poznań, our colleague Tomasz Filipiak shared the guide and exchanged ideas with practitioners, researchers and policymakers working to strengthen restorative justice across Europe.
ODIHR thanks our excellent partners and co-organizers of the event, the Centre for Development and Justice International, as well as all distinguished speakers and participants.

"Effective torture prevention safeguards not only individual rights, but also strengthens public trust, accountability and the rule of law," said ODIHR Director Maria Telalian.
Participants discussed how the guidelines can help strengthen the protection and promotion of the human rights of Roma in Ukraine and how they can be put into practice in the national context.
Today in Vienna, over 350 participants opened the @OSCE Supplementary Human Dimension Meeting on preventing and eradicating torture and ill-treatment.
Switzerland reaffirmed that torture is absolutely prohibited under all circumstances and called for closing persistent accountability gaps, as impunity continues to drive violations.
As OSCE Chair this year, Switzerland is developing a Roadmap on the Prevention and Eradication of Torture to support the implementation of OSCE commitments in this field. #OSCE26CH
