Slightly belated yet very hearty congratulations to Jack Davis for his appointment as the new Director of Golf at Merion.
Davis, who leaves Essex County Club after eight enormously successful years, succeeds the legendary Scott Nye, who after nearly 25 remarkable years steps into a new role as Director of Championships.
Nye leaves enormous shoes to fill, but great clubs make great hires, and Jack Davis is as good as they come. Congrats to all.
I donโt know how many times I watched this but I started this afternoon and now itโs dark. And yes, I also stood in front of a mirror and tried to make my mouth do that. Unbelievable.
