@OTRSCentral Bruh it was 2002, they were doing bitch matches on TV like this all the times
Brock literally fought Hogan on a random episode of Smackdown. The roster was stacked!
Things never considered. He was losing steam after multiple a year run. Neck, back, and knees were toast. Possible substance issues at this time. Maybe Vince knew his time was about up and wanted a large TV audience to see Brock beat him before he crashed out?
Could you imagine being so stupid as to want to give away a generational type match like Stone Cold vs. Brock Lesnar on TV with zero build up? Austin may not have handled the best but he will always be 100% right about just how bad of business that was.
Stone Cold Steve Austin and WWE staff talk about why he walked out of the company in 2002, after being told he would lose to Brock Lesnar in a King of the Ring match
I believe he made the right choice by leaving
WOW they released Braun Strowman? Interesting considering how much they've invested in that character over the years but perhaps it's not too surprising. Much more of a Vince-type talent than Hunter.
@OTRSCentral This may sound like me being a crazed conspiracy theorist, but I TRULY believe that Rock INTENTIONALLY fucked up the build and match between Cody & Cena. I think he was pissed off that he didnβt get his match with Roman last year. Sounds like a petulant bitch The Rock is.
Once Cody won the title, there was no story for him.
Once the realization came that there would be no true payoff from The Rock being involved, it made the past year look like a waste of time.
@OTRSCentral I know that you donβt like Cody but his title reign wasnβt his fault considering that rock handicapping it from day one. What I mean by that is no matter who faces Cody , you knew they were going to lose because it was setup for rock to beat Cody
Alyx is right here but I have an even bigger gripe. Why is everyone involved with WWE so determined to share how the sausage is made? It's like TKOWWE can't wait to tell everyone how scripted and fake their shit is.
Here's another clip of my video speaking on The Rock telling Pat McAfee it his decision not to show up at WWE Wrestlemania 41.
I was not as nice in this one.
I love Rock, but that was not the right call.
Everyone criticizing The Rock for not appearing at #WrestleMania is right to do so. He was presented as the catalyst for one of the biggest character flips in WWE history yet can't show up for the biggest night of the year? WILD
"Joe Hendry got buried"
Meanwhile, the TNA champion just got a massive pop at the biggest wrestling show of the year by far in front of millions of viewers and faced a first ballot HOF type guy.
Every wrestler should wish to get "buried" like this.
