A win for our students, our schools, and our state.
I’m incredibly proud of the work being done through OU's Transformative Tutoring Initiative and how it's helping high school students in Oklahoma.
Through this program, @uofoklahoma students serve as math tutors in Oklahoma City public and charter schools — helping younger students grow in confidence and skill. In turn, these OU students receive scholarships that support their own education.
At the start of this academic year, TTI has served over 1,500 students at 10 high schools.
And I'm happy to share they will now reach even more Oklahoma City high school students after recently receiving $3 million in new state funding to expand the program following multiple years of strong results.
Lead on, @oueducation!
