Yeah that’s valid, I mean take RE4 remake for example. It wasn’t totally a spiritual successor to the original I played as a kid but still was a phenomenal and a new experience mixed in with nostalgic characters and environments. To me if it strays a bit off of the OG’s I’m happy with that. If it’s fully just cut content like RE3 remake tho that is lame as hell
