Whitehaven Rugby League are delighted to announce the return of Andrew Bulman for his second spell with the club with the winger returning to his hometown side having signed a deal until the end of 2028.

Bulman who has spent the last 4 season at South Cumbrian neighbours Barrow first signed for the club ahead of the 2019 season scored 45 tries in 67 appearances which includes scoring a joint club record six tries in a game in just his third start in club colours in a 3rd round Challenge Cup tie vs Wigan St Pats In March 2019.

When departing the club at the end of the 2022 campaign the pacey winger scored double digits in 3 of his 4 seasons at the club with the only year he failed to his the mark was the curtailed 2020 campaign where had scored 2 tries in 5 games before the season was cut short. The winger will return to The Ortus Rec having scored 87 tries in 148 games for both Haven and Barrow.

The news was exclusively revealed at the club’s end of season presentation night which took place in a sold out JJ McKeown Bar as the club celebrated progress both on and off the field in 2026 which saw the club reach the Championship end of season play-offs for the first time since the 2021 campaign on our return to the division.

Jordan Burns has today announced that he will take a step back from the professional game after two seasons back in his second spell with the club.

Budsy returned to the club ahead of the 2025 campaign and was named club captain by Anthony Murray and has made 23 appearances across the two seasons scoring 10 tries and 14 goals. All at the club would like to thank Jordan for the hard work, effort and determination shown to overcome the injuries he has picked up in both seasons to get on the field and represent his hometown club
