Petition in bio and stories- Today I launched my campaign, Raise Your Standards. For years, I've carried the consequences of what can happen when parts of the press operate without real accountability. It changed my life in ways I never imagined, and while I can't change what happened to me, I can fight to make sure it happens to fewer people in the future. This campaign isn't just about my story. It's about every ordinary person who has had their grief exploited, their privacy invaded, or their life turned upside down by irresponsible reporting. A free press is essential to democracy. But freedom without accountability helps no one. That's why I'm calling on the UK Government to implement the Leveson recommendations and create a truly independent press regulator, one that isn't controlled, funded or appointed by the newspapers themselves, and has real powers to investigate wrongdoing and hold the press to account. This isn't about silencing journalists. It's about raising standards. If you believe we deserve a press that is both free and fair, I'd be so grateful if you could add your name to the petition.
