I was the NBA studio guy at FoxSports in ‘00. With the all star game approaching, host Kevin Frazier proclaimed “there are no new dunks” rendering the contest irrelevant. I had served as host for Gary Payton’s charity game in Seattle that summer. VC put on an impromptu, post game dunk display that still boggles my mind.
I told Kevin, on air, we were about to see something in Oakland we have never seen before…
