So you’re telling me that the Moon’s many craters are from billions of years protecting Earth by pulling space rocks into her orbit. The moon who is depicted as a woman in countless cultures and timelines? You’re saying her craters and stretch marks are evidence of care? Has someone informed the poets about this?
we live on a planet where trees warn each other of danger through underground networks. where octopuses dream. where elephants return to the bones of their dead and stand over them in silence. where bees communicate through dance, showing each other where to fly. where flowers bloom...where crows remember human faces -especially those who were cruel to them - and pass that memory on to their young. where ants build entire cities. where cats purr at a frequency that can help heal bones. where forests, after fires, grow flowers first.
You're not a bad person for "hating," either someone in particular or people in general, at this point in your trauma recovery journey. Rule One in recovery is, we meet WHATEVER we feel w/ acceptance & respect-- & if that happens to be hate at the moment, so be it.
No shame.
There are women who will talk for hours without gossiping even once about other people. They talk about their goals, their interests, their fears, their routines, their past, their desires, but not a single moment do they talk about others. I did not think this was possible. I did not know healthy women who avoided gossip existed, but they do.
It truly is so refreshing to talk to someone for hours about life & not once need to mention others in the conversation.
The love you receive from someone who knows how to be alone is the most sincere there is.
Because a solitary soul loves you by choice, not out of the need for company.
@KeruboSk I’m just lazy hehe. I’ve noticed people definitely treat me differently when wearing makeup versus not. I make better tips at work with makeup, people are friendlier, they talk to me more. It’s gross tbh, like media made being a woman synonymous with makeup, or you’re less than.
I have to acknowledge the legends along the way that have been integral to me becoming who I am today. I got mentioned in @Forbes alongside @OLYsounds for our work with @georgelopez. Only to follow up with another smash with @valkilmer and @KampKilmer. Much love sis proud of us!
I'm forever appreciative, @therealgodcloud . Not only are you an incredible producer and musician, but you always include and uplift those alongside you. In a world of "pick me's", you are a true artist and industry changer. 🙏 I'm privileged to be a tiny part of your journey.
My therapist told me “Anger is the part of yourself that loves you the most. It knows when you are being mistreated, neglected, disrespected. It signals that you have to take a step out of a place that doesn't do you justice. It makes you aware that you need to leave a room, a job, a relationship, old patterns that don't work for you anymore. Learn to listen to your anger and make it your best friend. Then it'll leave.” And that stuck with me forever.
