قدّمت الجلسات التخصصية في اليوم الأول من الملتقى الإعلامي لقطاعات الطاقة والمعادن استعراضًا شاملًا لأبرز أولويات القطاع وتوجهاته، بما يعزز فهم الإعلاميين للتحولات التي تشهدها قطاعات الطاقة والمعادن.
واستعرض الدكتور صلاح الذهب، مدير عام الاستثمار بوزارة الطاقة والمعادن، دور الاستثمار في تحويل الإمكانات إلى فرص تنموية، فيما تناول المهندس محمد العمري، مدير تطوير المحتوى المحلي بالوزارة، أثر المحتوى المحلي في نمو المؤسسات الوطنية وتطوير الكفاءات العُمانية، وسلّط المهندس محمد الغريبي، الرئيس التنفيذي لرِكان، الضوء على دور المسؤولية الاجتماعية في دعم التنمية المستدامة، واختتم المهندس محسن الجابري، مدير عام مركز عُمان للحياد الصفري، الجلسات باستعراض الخطة الوطنية للحياد الصفري والإطار التنظيمي لأسواق الكربون، وعلاقتهما بمسارات التحول نحو اقتصاد منخفض الانبعاثات.

The first day of the Energy and Minerals Media Forum featured a series of specialized sessions highlighting the sector’s key priorities and strategic directions, providing media professionals with deeper insight into the ongoing transformation of Oman’s energy and minerals sectors.
Dr Salah Al Dhahab, Director General of Investment at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, explored the role of investment in turning the sector’s potential into development opportunities. Eng. Mohammed Al Amri, Director General of Local Content Development, discussed how local content strengthens national enterprises and develops Omani talent. Eng. Mohammed Al Ghuraibi, CEO of Rikan, highlighted the role of social responsibility in advancing sustainable development, while Eng. Mohsin Al Jabri, Director General of the Oman Net Zero Centre, concluded the sessions with an overview of the National Net Zero Plan and the regulatory framework for carbon markets, and their role in supporting the transition to a low-emissions economy.

Communication that Creates Impact
The Ministry of Energy and Minerals, in collaboration with companies across the sector, organized the Media Forum for the Energy and Minerals Sectors to reaffirm the importance of institutional communication as an integral part of policymaking and implementation. The forum highlighted its role in fostering effective partnerships between the sector, the media, and the community, showcasing the economic, social, and environmental impact of sector projects, and connecting the sector’s achievements and future transformations to people’s lives and aspirations.
Through its panel discussions, the forum brought together sector leaders and media professionals in a dialogue aimed at strengthening public awareness, building trust, and making knowledge more accessible, driven by the belief that the media is a key partner in telling the sector’s story and highlighting its contribution to sustainable development.

نظّمت وزارة الطاقة والمعادن، بالتعاون مع شركات القطاع، الملتقى الإعلامي لقطاعات الطاقة والمعادن، بهدف تعزيز التواصل المؤسسي بين القطاع والإعلام والمجتمع، وإبراز دور الإعلام في نقل منجزات القطاع وتحولاته المستقبلية، وتسليط الضوء على أثرها في التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والبيئية.
وشهد الملتقى جلسة حوارية رئيسية بمشاركة سعادة محسن بن حمد الحضرمي، وكيل وزارة الطاقة والمعادن، والدكتور أفلح بن سعيد الحضرمي، المدير العام لشركة تنمية نفط عُمان، وأشرف بن حمد المعمري، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة أوكيو، وأحمد بن حمد الصبحي، رئيس مجلس إدارة مجموعة نماء، والمهندس مطر بن سالم البادي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة تنمية معادن عُمان، إلى جانب حضور نخبة من الإعلاميين والصحفيين، حيث ناقشت الجلسة أبرز التوجهات الإستراتيجية لقطاعات الطاقة والمعادن، ومستقبل الاستثمار والتحول في الطاقة، ودور الإعلام والتواصل المؤسسي في بناء الثقة وتعزيز الشراكة مع المجتمع.

The Ministry of Energy and Minerals, in collaboration with industry companies, organised the Energy and Minerals Media Forum to strengthen institutional engagement between the sector, the media, and the wider community. The forum highlighted the media's role in communicating the sector's achievements, future transformations, and their contribution to economic, social, and environmental development.
The forum featured a keynote panel discussion with H.E. Mohsin Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals; Dr Aflah Al Hadhrami, Managing Director of Petroleum Development Oman; Ashraf Al Mamari, CEO of OQ Group; Ahmed Al Subhi, Chairman of the board of Directors of Nama Group; and Eng. Matar Al Badi, CEO of Minerals Development Oman, alongside the participation of leading media professionals and journalists. The discussion explored the strategic priorities of the energy and minerals sectors, the future of investment and the energy transition, and the role of the media and institutional communication in building public trust and strengthening partnerships with the community.

تحت رعاية صاحب السمو السيد مروان بن تركي آل سعيد، محافظ ظفار، وبحضور سعادة الدكتور أحمد بن محسن الغساني رئيس بلدية ظفار وسعادة محسن بن حمد الحضرمي، وكيل وزارة الطاقة والمعادن، افتُتح معرض “الشراكة والأثر: الطاقة والمجتمع”، الذي تنظمه وزارة الطاقة والمعادن بالتعاون مع شركاء قطاعات الطاقة والمعادن.

ويأتي تنظيم المعرض في إطار تعزيز التواصل المجتمعي، وإبراز الأثر الاقتصادي والاجتماعي لقطاعي الطاقة والمعادن، من خلال تجربة تفاعلية تُسلّط الضوء على منجزات القطاع، وتستعرض مبادراته وشراكاته، ورؤيته المستقبلية في دعم التنمية المستدامة.

Under the patronage of H.H. Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and in the presence of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality, and H.E. Mohsin Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, the "Partnership and Impact: Energy and Community" Exhibition was officially inaugurated. The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals in collaboration with partners from the energy and minerals sectors.
The exhibition is being held to strengthen community engagement and highlight the economic and social impact of the energy and minerals sectors through an interactive experience that showcases the sectors' achievements, initiatives, partnerships, and future vision in support of sustainable development.

وقّعت محافظة جنوب الشرقية اتفاقية إسناد لتنفيذ مشروع تأهيل ورصف عدد من الطرق الجبلية في عدد من قرى المحافظة، بتمويل من الشركة العُمانية للغاز الطبيعي المُسال، حيث أُسند تنفيذ المشروع إلى إحدى المؤسسات الصغيرة والمتوسطة المحلية من محافظة جنوب الشرقية.

ويهدف المشروع إلى رفع كفاءة البنية الأساسية، وتحسين الربط بين القرى، وتعزيز السلامة المرورية وسهولة الوصول إلى الخدمات، إلى جانب تعزيز القيمة المحلية المضافة ودعم نمو المؤسسات المحلية، بما يسهم في تحقيق تنمية مستدامة وتحسين جودة الحياة.

The Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah signed a project award agreement for the rehabilitation and paving of several mountain roads across a number of villages, funded by Oman LNG. The project was awarded to a local SME from the governorate.

The initiative aims to enhance infrastructure, improve connectivity and road safety, and facilitate access to essential services, while strengthening In-Country Value and supporting the growth of local enterprises.

وقّعت الشركة العُمانية للغاز الطبيعي المُسال اتفاقية مع محافظة جنوب الشرقية لدعم أعمال الإغاثة والاستجابة لحالات الطوارئ الناتجة عن الكوارث الطبيعية.

وتسهم الاتفاقية في تعزيز جاهزية المحافظة، ورفع كفاءة الاستجابة للحالات الاستثنائية�� ودعم الجهود الرامية إلى حماية الأرواح والممتلكات وتعزيز السلامة المجتمعية.

Oman LNG signed an agreement with the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah to support relief and emergency response efforts related to natural disasters.

The agreement aims to strengthen emergency preparedness, enhance response capabilities, and support efforts to protect lives, property, and community safety.
