Great to welcome Matthew Whitaker @MattWhitaker46, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, back in Kyiv โ this time together with Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard, Commander of NATO Security Assistance & Training for Ukraine.
We had a good talk โ first and foremost on how to protect Ukrainian skies with more Patriot interceptor supplies through PURL. This is a critical priority now, as massive Russian attacks continue unabated. We also discussed the U.S.-Ukraine bilateral defense partnership: building on President Trump's decision in Ankara to license Ukraine to produce Patriots, and the Drone Deal, which our teams are now working through. This has real potential, and we hope to get it finalized soon.
I also presented Curtis Buzzard the Order "For Merit," III class. Thank you for standing by our side through all these years of aggression. Ukraine is grateful to President Trump, the U.S. Congress, and the American people for their support.
Bittersweet farewell to dear sister Ambassador of Luxemburg to the US @NicoleBintner with who we worked closely for years until 2025, remained in contact and will stay friends.

Europe needs more anti-ballistic defense. Together, we can build such a system. Ukraine is ready to deliver its part: the anti-ballistic missile. We are now finalizing it. It is important to confirm politically that FREYJA is our common project, in the interests of all of Europe.

Deeply saddened by the news of the passing of United States Senator Lindsey Graham. Lindsey was a true defender of freedom and the values that make our world safer.
He visited Ukraine ten times during the years of Russia's full-scale invasion and was here with our people when it was most needed. We remained in constant dialogue, and I will miss our conversations. We met twice in just the past week.
A staunch advocate for bipartisan and bicameral support for Ukraine, in recent weeks, he had been working on important initiatives that could help bring peace closer, including stronger sanctions against Russia. We will always be especially grateful for the recognition of our people and words of admiration for the courage of Ukraineโs defenders.
America and the world have lost a determined leader.

Sadly time to quote Ellie Wisel like I did in 2022 repeatedly: โWe must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented" Shocking that we have to remind about it 12 years after Russia attacked us first time and 5 years after Russian criminal federation started of full fledged war. But this is the time for all countries to interfere in any way they could: to provide air defense and weapons to Ukraine and implement full sanctions finally on russia and all which help them.
Today marks the 250th anniversary of one of humanity's brightest, strongest, and most influential dreams โ the American Dream of an independent, free, and prosperous nation that defends people's freedom, faith, and the pursuit of happiness.
That dream has endured many trials. It did not merely survive โ it has, for two and a half centuries now, served as an example for other nations and helped the entire humanity stand firm and become freer. This was especially important in the 20th century, when America helped save the world from the rule of tyrants and built the alliances and partnerships that, for the first time, gave a large part of humanity lasting peace and the opportunity to develop in freedom.
Now, in the 21st century, America's influence and importance are certainly no less. And we see that particularly clearly in Ukraine, which is fighting for its independence, freedom, and our people's right to happiness with much the same hope, the same purpose, and the same determination with which Americans won and defended their own independence.
We deeply value the support of the United States, especially now, during Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. American weapons โ from the Javelins that President Trump decided to give to Ukraine to the Patriots that most reliably protect the lives of our people โ everything the United States has provided to help us defend our country demonstrates the strength of the American spirit, American resolve, and American technology.
And we know the value of all these words better than anyone. When we ask America for Patriots, we believe that the values of respect for life and for people that prevailed 250 years ago will prevail again today. The world needs the kind of leadership that guarantees protection for freedom and for life.
I wish America a happy Fourth of July, the President of the United States and all Americans every success, and all of us around the world who value America โ fruitful cooperation. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." That is what unites all of us โ all who respect America and thank America today.
May the dreams of free people always triumph over the evil and hatred of those who seek to destroy freedom. America, thank you! I am confident that if we're in it together, we'll definitely achieve peace! Congratulations on your Independence Day!
Yesterday, the President of Poland noted that the Order of the White Eagle is not an ordinary award. It is a symbol of the highest trust of the Republic of Poland. It signifies a special bond with the Polish state and the special gratitude of the Polish People. Such a symbol requires not only merit, but also respect for the values that form the foundation of our community.
Therefore, if it is considered that this special symbol may remain with Catherine II, Benito Mussolini, and Gerhard Schrรถder, then we in Ukraine will not argue with that.
Ukraine is grateful to the Polish People for their support and cooperation, which play a significant role in the struggle for our and your independence from Russia.
Ukraine never forgets solidarity and understands that cooperation between states and peoples in our region is one of the tangible security guarantees for Ukrainians and for each neighboring state.
Ukraine will continue to defend itself in this war unleashed by Russia, and we will undoubtedly achieve a dignified peace.
Ukraine is grateful to all peoples, states, and leaders who will continue to stand with us in the defense of freedom and who, together with Ukraine, will serve as guarantors of postwar peace in Europe and a new, real security.
Ukraine will remain open to all meaningful formats of engagement with Poland in order to try to avoid conflicting interpretations of the difficult and painful chapters of our shared past and to ensure proper respect for all innocent victims of the 20th century.
And Ukrainians are doing everything in our power to ensure that Europe does not suffer defeat in this century.
I am proud of our people and of EVERY Ukrainian warrior โ of the millions of Ukrainian men and women who deserve unquestionable respect for the heroism the Ukrainian People have shown in defending themselves against Russian aggression.
We believed that the Order of the White Eagle, awarded in 2023, was meant for the Ukrainian People and our army. That is what was said at the time. Today, I sent the Order back to the President of Poland.
I believe the future will confirm the respect Ukrainians deserve.

No Christian church, - orthodox, catholic or protestant can be silent about this attack on holy site in Kyiv - one of the cradles of Christianity in Europe. Ukrainians prayed to Jesus in this place since it was founded in 1050. God will help us continue praying to Him for Ukraine, victory and peace despite Russian brutal criminal attacks.
Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strikes are ongoing in Kyiv, as well as in Kharkiv. Last night, the Russians launched more than 60 missiles at the capital alone. In total, 70 missiles and 611 drones were used against Ukraine. As of now, 28 people have been reported injured and four killed in the capital. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. A Russian strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra set the Dormition Cathedral on fire โ a church whose history dates back to the 11th century. And this is one of Russiaโs most serious crimes against Christian culture to date. The State Emergency Service has already extinguished the fire on the cathedralโs roof. In Kharkiv, the Russians carried out a repeat strike against our rescuers as they were putting out a fire at the site of an earlier strike on an industrial facility. So far, tragically, five people have been confirmed killed. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Nine people have been injured. In Dnipro, Russia struck the grounds of a railway station, a college, and several enterprises.
Other cities and communities were targeted as well. The Kyiv, Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Mykolaiv regions were also under attack. This is how Russia shows the world its intention to continue the war. It is very important that there be a response from the G7 countries, which are now gathering for their summit โ and that this response be decisive and substantive: more pressure on the aggressor and more support for Ukraineโs air defense, especially anti-ballistic capabilities. I thank everyone who is helping us protect lives.

Eternal gratitude and memory to the bravest American men and women, who 82 years on D-Day played a pivotal role in the liberation of Europe and conclusion of an aggressive war started by nazi dictator Hitler and russian communist dictator Stalin.

Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv and many other cities right now are under horrific terrorist attack by russia. Missiles and shaheed drones are targeting peaceful Ukrainian civilians. These are war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. Itโs a clear and repeated breach of peace and international law. And it happens for 1559 days in real time again and again, while Russian started war in 2014. Time for everyone who really believes in freedom, peace and human dignity to ACT . Ukraine needs all the prayers, weapons (air defence) and support. Russia deserves all the sanctions and isolation. Russian evil empire must stoped. In the 21 century nuclear terrorist country Russia announces war crimes against peaceful neighbor Ukraine and executes attack against residential areas during the night in Kyiv and through Ukraine. And does it after 12 years of aggression and on day 1550 of the unprovoked and unjustified full fledged war of choice Russia wages against Ukraine.
Listening to the sounds of explosions and air defence, checking on friends and family and reading online horrifying reports about where the hits came to, focuses thinking in what is important.
There are no questions about Russia. Russia is a terrorist country. It must be stoped and held accountable for its crimes.
The question is: Will this attack becomes one too many for our friends and allies to say enough is enough. The recipe to save lives and stop war is still the same: more weapons and support to Ukraine and more sanctions and isolation to Russia.
The sun is raising above Kyiv. The rescue operations are ongoing. I ask everyone outside of Ukraine to pray for us. And to voice your support for Ukraine today. This is the humane and the right thing to do.

A rescue operation is currently underway in Kyiv at the site of a Russian drone strike on a nine-story residential building โ an entire section of the building has been completely destroyed. Dozens of people have been rescued. Tragically, one person has been killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. People may still be trapped under the rubble.
Overnight, the Russians launched more than 670 attack drones and 56 missiles against Ukraine. Ballistic, aeroballistic, and cruise missiles were used in the strikes. The main target of this attack was Kyiv. There is damage at twenty locations across the city โ ordinary residential buildings, a school, a veterinary clinic, and other purely civilian infrastructure. Destruction has also been reported in the Kyiv region, while similar terrorist strikes targeted energy infrastructure in Kremenchuk, as well as port and residential areas in Chornomorsk.
In total, since midnight yesterday, Russia has used more than 1,560 drones against our cities and communities. These are definitely not the actions of those who believe the war is coming to an end. It is important that partners do not remain silent about this strike. And it is equally important to continue supporting the protection of our skies. The PURL initiative is needed so that Ukraine can defend itself against ballistic strikes like these. And likewise, in the interests of everyone seeking peace, pressure on Russia must continue. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine.
