Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of a major storm that hit Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park, leaving 300 campers stranded and downing thousands and thousands of trees.
This anniversary is an opportunity to appreciate the many folks who have worked tirelessly to begin the process of restoring this meaningful and ecologically important space.
We are proud to have supported the planting of 8,000 trees to help begin the park’s journey of recovery. These trees will help natural regeneration as the forest works to reestablish the critical roles it plays in our ecology and our community.
The road to recovery has been shaped by many skilled, knowledgeable, and compassionate folks, and you can learn more about some of them in our video. https://t.co/W02be2nkG3
