This summer, teens from Fort Greene participated in an improv class with SA teaching artists as a part of One Community's Lift Off Student Program. They learned that improv skills can benefit them in the workforce and in personal relationships. #strikeanywhereedu@OneCommunityNYC
Justice-involved individuals from our re-entry program have a real chance at success thanks to @bikenewyork@onecommunitynyc. KCDA case managers attended their graduation at @BklynNavyYard to celebrate them receiving their bike mechanic certification alongside other participants.
Congrats to the Bike Path graduates who now have or will soon have good paying jobs with @CitiBikeNYC! TY @OneCommunityNYC for organizing this program: As of today, 31 of our 2022 graduates are already working at CitiBike, and by July 7th we expect a total of 70 to be employed.
Bike Path is a four-week intensive, hands-on bike mechanic training program for folks with limited job prospects, including formerly incarcerated New Yorkers.
