If you're not using WisprFlow or any other STT solution to write your prompts, you're missing out.
I can get so much more detail in by just talking instead of typing - which gets me better responses from the model.
I personally use OpenWhispr (@openwhispr) by @gabrielste1n. The best open source solution for this in my opinion.
Confession: I was on @WisprFlow for 6 months, kept hitting the free limit, and was juggling multiple accounts to keep going.
Just switched back to @openwhispr. Barely any difference.
Free Grok API key = ~2000 req/day, zero cost.
Open source. Your key, your data.
Is OpenWhispr the best free and open source alternative to WisprFlow and Granola?
You tell me! Would love your feedback.
Links to the website and github in the comments, a star would go a long way <3
I’m done paying monthly subscriptions for ai models that I can run on my computer for free.
Introducing OpenWispr:
An open source speech-to-text tool that runs 100% locally and helps you write 3x faster than typing.
You can run it yourself for free or contribute to the project with a small monthly sub.
Excited to build this together!
Optimizing AI agents requires writing down the valuable institutional knowledge in your company. Big co’s will struggle with this: middle managers worry about becoming replaceable and leaders worry about leaks. If they don’t do it, they’ll be crushed by competitors who do.
Cape Town to San Francisco.
Most founders spend $10K+ getting an O-1 visa.
Here’s the hack no one tells you about for getting here at a fraction of the cost 🙊👇
Marry someone way smarter than you and ride in on a dependent visa.
😂
Jokes aside, been here 3 weeks and our MRR is already on its way up.

I’m building @AskBexAI in the AI startup capital of the world.
Let’s see what we can pull off. 🫡
It’ll never get old seeing @AskBexAI featured in a newsletter, no matter how big or small the audience.
Such a proud moment. Thanks to @Sheldonbishop01 for the shoutout!
Introducing in-line updates! 🔥 A huge step forward towards building self-updating documentation that you can trust.
@AskBexAI can now more precisely identify outdated information in your documents, differentiate it from new details, and give you finer control in keeping everything up to date.
Can’t believe this is our first demo of 2025, and it’s only going to get better from here 🥵🥵🥵
We’re one step closer to putting documentation on autopilot 👀
Bex now automatically updates your documentation by listening to Slack channels 🔥
Why do we think this is important?
We believe that input context is one of the biggest drivers of AI agent performance.
Fast-moving teams don’t have time to update docs, which we think will limit their ability to utilize AI agents down the line.
We’re placing a bet that AI agents are going to play a huge part in the future of work.
Do you agree?
Part 2 of small cleanups I'm making as the non-technical co-founder of @AskBexAI 👇
Our first customers had to reach out to us directly to change the permissions of their teammates.
Now, users can manage permissions themselves before sending out invites!
I'm not 100% satisfied but I think the UI is a bit cleaner too 🙌
I only updated the frontend, but I’d like to believe that I at least saved my co-founder a bit of time!
Feels like my birthday every time our designer sends over a new animation 🥳
Soon, you’ll be able to send @AskBexAI a voice note with all the changes you need in your documentation, and Bex will handle the rest.
This is the cringiest video I've ever made. It's also the first video I've ever made!
It shows you that I believe in @AskBexAI so much that I'm willing to embarrass myself on the internet.
Bex turns your Slack messages into a self-updating knowledge base.
We have almost 50 companies on our waitlist and are launching on @ProductHunt soon.
Link to get notified about our launch is in the comments.
Thanks to @_buildspace@_nightsweekends for giving me the courage to put myself out there, it's been wild.
I just want a tool that I can send a quick Slack voice note and it does all the work for me 🥹
That's why our next feature for @AskBexAI will let you make updates across multiple documents with a single voice note in @SlackHQ 🔥
Demo coming soon!

Week 5 update of @_buildspace@_nightsweekends
We're officially opening up our Private Beta 🚀 Link to join the waitlist will be in the comments!
Right now, Bex is a self-updating knowledge base created from your Slack messages.
In the near future, Bex will be able to keep all of your existing company documentation up-to-date so that you don't have to.
Wouldn't it just be a dream if after a long day of Zoom calls, Slack huddles and quick decision making - all your PRDs, briefs, memos, tickets etc. were already updated based on what you discussed that day?
We think so, and that's why we're building @AskBexAI.

Week 4 update for @_buildspace@_nightsweekends
You will never need to answer the same question twice again.
@AskBexAI can now update your existing documentation from any Slack message via a neat @SlackHQ shortcut.
You can now go back through your messages and save answers to previous questions so that if anyone ever asks you the same question again, you can just say:
"Don't ask me, ask Bex!"
We're excited about this feature because it really feels like a small but pivotal piece in building a genuine solution to one of our own major pain points that we have experienced over our careers:
Keeping our documentation up to date.
P.s.
It really feels like magic when Bex knows exactly which document to update with your message.
