It was great to host BOLI Commissioner Christina Stephenson here at the Capitol. I look forward to working with her to improve lives for workers across the state!
Gov. Brown made the point of diversifying Oregon’s judiciary. Of her first 100 judicial appointments through this past May, 52 were women and 25 were people of color, including 10 who were Black. Eight openly identified as part of the LGBTQ community https://t.co/QSkzIYl90L
We have a new study! Big Trucks: An Avoidable Public Safety Crisis, about big truck dangers, horrific crashes, weak regs, the importance of juries, "nuclear verdict" myths - and we show that insurers have been price-gouging trucking companies for years! https://t.co/oCaYsbrUyg
BOLI candidate and OTLA Guardian @cstephensonOR visited farmworkers today, as well as ironworkers picketing an Amazon facility in Woodburn. These visit define the values Stephenson has as a candidate with a strong record of fighting access to justice for working people
Rep @djgrayber and @OregonJustice have done a tremendous work on HB 4138 to strengthen workers compensation and help injured workers rebuild lives.
The bill passed the Senate on a 25-1 vote and now goes to the Governor for her signature.

Thrilled to be at @Oregon_Law right before my 1,000th town hall here today in Eugene. I first fell in love with Oregon decades back as a law student & I’m honored to be holding today’s online #2022townhall in Lane County where my public service career began.
Portland Lawyers for Black Lives and their clients injured by police gathered this morning in a press conference to hold wrongdoers accountable and seek justice for these Oregonians.
Big News! This morning the House passed SB193, which officially repeals the compensation cap on non-economic damages ruled unconstitutional last year by the Oregon Supreme Court. The bill is headed to the Governor's desk for signature. (1/2)
Many of those left homeless or affected by #Oregonfires are struggling to apply for aid, get housing and navigate insurance claims. @oregonjustice lawyers are providing some pro bono help. https://t.co/QoRtLYdpCr
Urge @OregonGovBrown to make work safe now!
The State of Oregon must protect workers by creating strong rules to protect from exposure to COVID-19 and hold employers accountable when they don’t follow the rules.

Congratulations to OR Sen. @LewFrederick and ME! Winners of the Public Justice award from @OregonJustice for our work passing a Made Whole Statute (SB 421) in Oregon last year. I'm so proud of what we accomplished and only a little bit sorry for the cheesy picture. 🤓
Congratulations to @CorsonJohnson Partner and alum Don Corson (BS '76/ JD '85) who was named the 2020 Distinguished Trial Lawyer by @OregonJustice! Well done! https://t.co/eDuDpXGb4U
