@SPIREX22@doubara_ie And how is that my business? Like I said that is not something I push for, I will rather have state governors come together and do meaningful project for the SS or "legacy" project as the politicians call it. I don't care about federal government road at the moment.
The East West road is practically of no serious benefits to the people of the East. Coming from the east the most important high way is the Enugu-Aba-PH road, from Oyigbo they can access Eleme, across the East West they can access the Port via Alode-Onne road.
'The East-West Road is not close to the East' but i dare u all to deny the below-
*The Igbos of the Southeast are the most heavy and strategic users of the East-West Road..
***SouthEast industries rely heavily on oil, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and petrochemical derivatives produced in Niger Delta hubs like Warri and Port Harcourt. The East-West Road functions as the primary distribution channel for these energy resources into the Southeast
***The East-West Road provides the direct connection to the Port Harcourt Port and the Onne Port/Export Terminal in Rivers State.
***A functional East-West Road ensures that Igbo merchants can seamlessly evacuate containers and goods from these maritime hubs to major Southeast markets .
Now we know how cunning Zikists can be!
@AKakanfo At this point do we just have stark illiterates that cannot even carry out a simple research? There is no Lagos-Aba express road anywhere, it has never existed and most likely will not exist (at least not in the nearest future). Learn about the East West road before commenting.
@dipoaina1 Patriotic Nigerians with zero knowledge of Nigeria, East West road that goes from Lagos to Akwa Ibom through all the SS states has all of a sudden become route to the SE, while the actual route to the SE from Benin bypass to first Niger bridge via Agbor remains a death trap.
@Onsogbu The way these maps are being drawn is so funny, this one has decided to extend coastal road to Obudu and some how bypassed the akamkpa axis. Then starts East West road from the coast line just off Escravos. Nigerians that don't know anything about the Nigeria they are in.
@Montero1016 People really need to travel more, the idea that the East West road somehow passes through the South Eastern part is very laughable, the East West road runs from Lagos through Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers and at the moment ends in Akwa Ibom.
@JuliusShoga@DejiAcre All these are correct but the real question remains will the government be transparent enough to the citizens regarding the funding? We are Nigerians and we clearly understand how these politicians move mad and we are already in campaign season, there should be accountability.
@JuliusShoga@DejiAcre You did not answer the crucial question, will the government be transparent enough for citizens to know how the adjustment of the funding will be? Joining the East West road simply means a far more reduced proposed budget for the coastal road, have you heard anything about that?
@Rotexko@AmMrPlenty@JuliusShoga@DejiAcre This idea of generalization is never the best, maybe this person in particular didn't want the road but can you actually confirm everyone in the Niger Delta didn't want the road?
@AmMrPlenty@JuliusShoga@DejiAcre Do you understand the topography of the Niger Delta you talk about? Umahi has realised that the coastal road is not just about mouth. In case you are not aware, the coastal road was vision of the 1970s realising the difficulty gave birth to the East West road you see today.
@EzeAyoka@DejiAcre Lol you want to argue about road I drive through every week? Many of you don't travel enough to know the different routes in the country.
@JuliusShoga@DejiAcre You really think so? Apart from the Ilaje people not being happy there is a funding pathway for the coastal road and East West road, with this adjustment will the govenment be transparent about the new funding plan or same old funding plan will be in place this adjustment?
@blomslove@DejiAcre Many of you really don't even know the routes in the country, East West road already goes through Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers states, this map shown is absolutely not correct.
@PastorMarvy If we can look up past statements during and immediately after the inauguration, there were inconsistencies all over the place, that was all I needed to know there was an issue with this project but I really hoped I will be proven wrong unfortunately that did not happen.
