Yesterday, PCCS spent hours helping a single mother we are calling “Cheryl” to protect her privacy. Because her dignity matters. She matters. Her children matter.

Cheryl is 50, blind, needs a wheelchair for mobility, and is living with kidney failure and diabetes. Her 13-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son are at home and in school. Her disability income is only $1,024 a month.

When I asked if she was able to feed her children, she told me:

“For now, but not very well.”

We helped identify local resources for blindness case management, Medicaid and SNAP. But those programs take time.

Her children need nutritious food now.

PCCS is raising enough to provide approximately two weeks of groceries, delivered directly to the family.

We did it, soft lauch down, end of October, official lauch! We are over the moon, and truthfully, it's seems surrealistic right now. So hard to believe that I did this myself with my own hands and mind for what I expected it to become for our recipients and user partners, when we get them; White Label agreements TBD.
