🏇 National Racehorse Week 2026 🏇
What a brilliant day welcoming a group of local riding school youngsters to the yard! 🐎
They enjoyed a fascinating insight into life behind the scenes and how the yard works, asking some fantastic questions along the way. From trying on jockey silks to getting up close with cheekpieces and blinkers, there was plenty to see, learn and experience!
Thank you to one of our jockeys Paddy Hanlon for giving us a great demonstration on the Equicisor — which the youngsters then all had a go on themselves. 💪🏇 There were certainly some budding work riders and jockeys amongst them!
To finish off a fantastic visit, we were delighted to welcome retired racehorse Politologue, who was a big hit with everyone. ❤️
It was lovely to share our passion for racing and give the next generation a glimpse into the world of the racehorse.
Pevlings Riding School had an incredible day at @PFNicholls ⭐️
Prolitologue and No Drama This End were very happy to meet some young fans 🥰

So lovely to see Cap Du Mathan enjoying his new career with our very own @V_Binnie_Ryle...

A great feature on Cap du Mathan enjoying his life after racing. We love seeing our horses well cared for when they have finished their racing careers with us. @V_Binnie_Ryle#nationalracehorseweek

Sad to also hear the passing of the wonderful Saphir Du Rheu after an illness. A horse that was so well loved on the track and thrived in retirement. Now with Big Bucks, bless their hearts 💔
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to the fantastic Big Buck’s at the grand old age of 23.
A champion staying hurdler, he was a truly special horse who gave us some of the most incredible memories throughout his racing career. Four World Hurdle victories, four Liverpool Hurdles, three Long Walk Hurdles and 18 wins in a row — what a record!
He was a real character, and you never quite knew what he had left in the tank in a race. Somehow he always seemed to find that little bit extra when it mattered, a part of what made him so special.
Big Buck’s was owned by the late Andy Stewart, who gave us the privilege of training such a wonderful horse. I’m delighted that Andy’s family continue to have horses in training in Ditcheat today, which makes that connection even more special.
The late Rose Loxton looked after him throughout his racing career alongside the rest of our brilliant team. He then enjoyed a long and happy retirement with Mike and Lucy Felton, who gave him a wonderful home and cared for him so well.
Thank you for everything Buck’s. You will never be forgotten.

Thank you to Paul Nicholls for a fantastic visit on Sunday, where Owners saw a parade of their horses, including new recruit Bansha Blue, and heard Paul's thoughts for the season ahead.
Our final group National Hunt horses are coming in from their holidays and heading back into training!
Slay Girl has arrived back in Ditcheat looking at absolute picture, and there's still shares left in her ahead of what should be another exciting season with @PFNicholls!🙌
