📌Why did President @officialABAT create a Presidential Food Systems Coordinating Unit when Nigeria already has a Ministry of Agriculture?

to understand better what the office was all about and if the #RenewedHope policies in agriculture was just another government’s promise

The answer reveals one of the biggest problems holding Nigeria’s agriculture back for decades.

A food policy from 1985.
Overlapping responsibilities.
Federal, state and local governments working in silos meaning Nigeria has been moving forward and backward at the same time.

Nobody was looking at the entire food system from production to imports, reserves and exports until now.
