Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, UDAN has brought aviation closer to the common citizen. From 74 airports in 2014 to 166 today, India’s aviation network has expanded significantly, making air travel more accessible across the country.

Pawan Hans Reinforces Commitment to a Safe, Respectful & Inclusive Workplace.

Pawan Hans Limited organised an engaging and insightful training session on Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) on 26 August 2026, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment towards creating a workplace that is safe, respectful, dignified and inclusive for every employee.
The session commenced with a warm welcome to Dr. Mukesh Ranjan Das, Former Executive Director (HR), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), by the Hon’ble CMD, Pawan Hans Ltd. In his address, the Hon’ble CMD emphasised the importance of continuous awareness and sensitisation on POSH, and the need to collectively nurture a workplace culture where every employee feels safe, respected, valued and heard.
Dr. Das is an accomplished HR and POSH professional with extensive experience in Human Resources, workplace compliance and organisational practices. He is currently associated with TERI as Senior Advisor and IIT Bombay as Visiting Faculty. He has also authored the book “Complete Guide on POSH” and has recently been conferred a national Thought Leadership Award on POSH, recognising his contribution to the field.
The training was highly interactive and participative, with employees engaging enthusiastically in discussions, case-based learning and practical aspects of the POSH framework. The session provided valuable insights into workplace behaviour, prevention and reporting mechanisms, responsibilities of employees and the importance of maintaining dignity and professionalism at the workplace.
Adding an element of fun and healthy competition, an exciting POSH Quiz was also organised by the trainer. The enthusiastic participation of employees made the session even more engaging.

India’s air cargo ecosystem is taking a major leap forward. The scaled-up Transshipment Cargo Operations at Delhi’s IGI Airport build on the successful Chennai–Delhi–Frankfurt Proof of Concept, reducing cargo transit time from 70 hours to just 20 hours and strengthening India’s position as a global air cargo hub.

AAI’s Leh Airport @LehAirport is witnessing a significant infrastructure upgrade, with 23,810 sqm of new terminal building area. Designed to handle 35 lakh passengers annually, the upgraded terminal will feature 20 check-in counters, 8 e-check-in counters, 3 aero-bridges, 2 remote departure gates.

By expanding aviation capacity, the project will support tourism, local businesses, trade and exports, while contributing to economic development of the region. With a total project cost of ₹640 crore, Leh’s aviation infrastructure is gearing up for the region’s next phase of growth.
