On a rugged hillside, not far from the shores of Doo Lough, lies the weathered remains of a Rowan tree emerging from a lone rock. Ben Creggan’s shear mountain face rises 693m high behind lying in shadow as morning sunlight dapples across its Western façade.

A soft late February evening spent on the shore of Glassilaun, Co. Galway. I'd hoped for more intense sunlight to break below the cloud line as was forecast but instead it was nice to spend some time admiring the calm seas of the evening.

On the beautiful clean shores of Carrowteige in Co. Mayo, lay a variety of rocky subjects that were enjoyable to compose around the lapping waves. This particular composition stood out as the large reptilian of Indonesian fame.
