Only had time to talk about the top 3 teams so here's a few things I didn't get to address in the pod:
1. 4th place: @chadsch23 hit big on Kenneth Walker thru Wk1 and took a shot on Jacobs returning in the 6th round. It's a draft and hold move. Denzel Boston flashed well for a 15th round pick. Paid an 8th for KC Concepcion too, who he started Wk1. He might be conflicted week to week trying to pick the right one for flex until Jacobs returns.
2. 5th place: @MissNewBootyFF took Aaron Jones in the 10th and now that's a locked in lineup spot. He just has to be ecstatic about watching his late 4th round pick Jeremiah Love in week 1. He looks so good.
3. 6th place: Christian Watson came through big time for the Franchise Team @The_Franchise12 @FantasySopranos @208858740 and gets Rhamondre back this week. Losing JaKobi as a flier, but took Chris Bell in the 17th who surged to 10-11 round range by the time we were in Vegas for Kickoff weekend.
4. 7th place: The Degens hit on Chuba in the 8th. The Cam ward in the 11th remains a head scratcher but does have Stroud in the 17th until that TEN offense starts to click. They did hit on Vele in the 19th round though, which is likely an insta-start if he plays that well again this week.
5. 8th place: GST @ChrisVaccaroGST shined with ARSB at 4 but may be losing Ladd this week but this team has tons of flex options this week. Tuten likely. WR3 Addison may have to sit while they decide if the QB play is good enough. Tre harris in the 13th might prove to be the play but if Nico sits, maybe they start Boutte.
6. 9th place - @DerekJStevens squad with @RosboroughDavid and @TheAOster - They had the 12th draft slot choice and took the 7th pick for the minimum $10 bid. Losing their 8th round pick Mason hurts, but these guys took the BEAST KNOWN AS COKER in the 10th round over many other good names. This could be the Puka pick of the draft! My guess is he'll be in their lineup in Week 2.
7. 10th place - @Bradsbestbets has a SOLID and DEEP squad with CMC , Achane, ETN, Rice etc but that Caleb Douglas 14th round pick might be a WR3 superstar who starts over Marvin/Pittman/M WIlson. This team should take a nice bump up the standings this week is my guess.
8. 11th place - Beefaroni- Losing the Strib show hurts, but this team has depth and a solid starting lineup. Cook/Jeanty/Pickens/McLaurin/Adams/JaydenDaniels etc. Better than their standings reflect.
9. 12th place - Now hear me out. Yes he started slow, but he spent his 2nd round pick on Bowers and his 4th round pick was a Loveland goose egg. Price looked good in week 1. He has Burrow, gets TreVeyon back and his 19th round Jaylin Noel may even be in play if Nico sits.
This league has a ton of depth and good teams. This is just week 1 and we're just getting started!
