On Friday, Team PNECET swapped the office for the rounders pitch as we competed against other local businesses and organisations at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena.

We finished as runners-up on goal difference… or whatever the rounders equivalent of goal difference is. 😅

🎙️ Earlier this week we welcomed ten students from Corpus Christi High School to Deepdale as part of our Heritage Podcast workshop.

Throughout the workshop, students have explored the importance of preserving and sharing heritage, developed key interviewing skills and recorded and edited a podcast with one of our PNECET Sporting Memories participants.

The students also had the opportunity to hear from our Media Lead, Jake Oates, who spoke about his career and the different pathways available into the media industry. 💻

The workshop is being delivered in collaboration with Corpus Christi and forms part of our 'Invincibles' Heritage Project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Today we were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Peter Higham who represented North End between 1952 and 1955.

The thoughts of everyone at the football club are with Peter’s friends, family, and loved ones at this difficult time.

Recently, we hosted a brilliant World Cup-themed arts and crafts session at Chew’s Yard in Preston. 🤝

Local children and families joined us for a hands-on-history experience, with the chance to learn more about England’s 1966 World Cup story, dress up in a replica England shirt and hold a replica Jules Rimet trophy as well as filling a giant flag with football and World Cup-themed drawings and messages. 🎨

A huge thank you to the National Football Museum for supporting the day and helping bring football heritage to life in the community, and to Chew's Yard for hosting us. 🙌
