Food Service Director Jill Csordas, Lead Cook Gerry Gleason and CEE Assistant Naturalist Lilly Dennis were spotted this morning getting their hands dirty as they prepared the raised garden beds by the Projects building for planting. Pines Bridge students will soon be digging in too, helping to care for the vegetable and herb gardens during the growing season. The produce will support the food service’s Harvest of the Month program, where different fruits, vegetables and herbs will be highlighted and incorporated into cafeteria meals and classroom activities.
“We are excited to begin work on our BOCES vegetable and herb gardens, with the goal of producing a successful harvest,” said Csordas. “These gardens will directly support our Farm-to-School initiative, which focuses on bringing fresh, locally grown foods into our cafeterias while also teaching students about how food is grown, harvested, and prepared.” #pnwboces #wecandothat

That’s the beauty of PNW BOCES, it teaches us that every talent has value, every passion deserves opportunity, and every student has the ability to create a meaningful future.” Congratulations! #pnwboces #wecandothat #classof2026
