We are saddened by the recent loss of guitar journalism legend Dave Burrluck. His absence will be felt not only by us personally, as he was a wonderful friend, but also by the guitar community at large. The son of a violin maker, Dave was passionate about guitars, guitarists, and guitar making. He was a big-hearted Brit whose love for covering the music industry was only topped by his love for his family. As a journalist with deep experience, he was tough in the kindest way. He would relentlessly dig for truth, facts, and the details that mattered to his readers. We appreciated that level of care in his writing. It made him the best in the business.

Dave was the author of "The PRS Electric Guitar Book," most recently the Gear Editor for Guitarist magazine, and wrote articles for multiple publications over several decades. He will be truly missed.
