Stronger-than-forecast winds & trees with full foliage caused widespread outages, with Thurston County seeing the biggest impact. Crews are working to restore a transmission outage that impacted 3 substations, & are assessing damage & restoring power as stormy weather continues.

As we work to safely restore power, please remember:
- Never touch or go within 35 feet of a downed power line. Assume all downed wires are energized. Call PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or 911 to report them.
- Use flashlights instead of candles.

The outage pictured has been restored and I-5 has reopened. As crews work on restoration throughout the area, please be on the lookout for downed trees and lines. If you come across a downed line, stay at least 35 feet away and report it to PSE or by calling 911.

Wind and rain are expected Friday as an unseasonably strong weather system moves through the region. With trees and vegetation still fully leafed out, winds may bring branches and trees into power lines, potentially causing outages.

We maintain the pipeline up to your gas meter—but buried lines to pools, barbecues, or outbuildings could be your responsibility. If not properly maintained, they can corrode or leak. Have a licensed plumbing contractor inspect & repair as needed.
