Posting information, screenshots, and other things found from the development history of the Paper Mario series. | Ran by @Reecee_yt & @fawfulthgreat64
On this account, I will be posting information about the early versions of each Paper Mario game, including progress on the search for the PM3DS E3 2010 trailer. If you have any information that you want me to share, feel free to send me a direct message.
Early exterior of the Great Tree, this is a known screenshot but it is still interesting since the ground is monochrome rather than a rainbow gradient.
i made a mockup of what one of the scenes of the lost Paper Mario 3DS E3 2010 trailer might've looked like!!! cool (low quality to match the 3DS vibes)

In the E3 2012 trailer for Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the Shy Guy trio at the Yoshi Sphynx only had three Sombrero Guys rather than a Sombrero Guy, an Accordion Guy, and a Maraca Guy.
In Super Paper Mario, the original animation for the Rainbow Bridge in the Overthere was supposed to be Tetris-themed. It is possible this was removed due to being such a blatant reference to a non-Nintendo property that it raised concerns over IP rights.
In the files of the GameCube version of TTYD, there are unused graphics for an early version of the end-of-chapter screen transition. It's stored in the same file as the used icons for Mario, Peach, and Bowser. Here's a reconstruction of what it could've looked like.
A photo of early demos of Super Paper Mario on GameCube from 2006. Thudley was originally meant to have a transparent body like other Pixls rather than being opaque.
There was also a partner chain chomp that was planned which is already known.
Here is the model name and animations for it.
It had basic actions like idle/walk/run/jump, but also actions for waiting for a command and tired/weak
It also had a seal just like the bone version. So im curious to know if there was a similar Hooktail/Gloomtail/Bonetail situation, or from the animations, a Bowser/Dry Bowser situation.
