Look out for the latest works at Ratcliff Passage as we prepare to bring two of Birmingham’s best-known statues, of industrialists and thinkers James Watt and Joseph Priestley, back to the city.

Work on the statues' three-metre high podiums is now underway to enable both of these iconic Brummies to return to their rightful place in the new public realm alongside the city’s 1834 Grade I-listed Town Hall after some painstaking work to restore them over the past year.

Global law firm @ESgloballaw has taken its first steps to Paradise by taking possession of its highly sustainable, amenity-rich new office space in the heart of the city.

Building upon the firm’s global commitment to growth and development across its locations, Eversheds Sutherland has taken two floors at Three Chamberlain Square for its new work home.

It’s safe to say World Cup fever has landed at Paradise!

Dozens of occupiers from across the estate joined in the action with a football tournament spanning table football and seated football, bringing plenty of competitive energy, friendly rivalry and team spirit to the working day.

Today is national #CleanAirDay - and we're proud that Paradise has had such an impact on the air quality of this part of Birmingham. 

Quantifying the potential value of health benefits of environmental changes at Paradise such as improved air quality is worth £43 million over a 25 year period, with £6.68 million of public health costs averted, according to a report from research consortium @ResearchTruud.

Since Paradise became a fully pedestrianised, modernised and connected place, it has attracted a million people per month to its public realm - with new streets, squares and routes through this part of the city and connected by new Metro and other public transport routes.

By removing the previous Paradise Circus Queensway and the accompanying ring road traffic, the air quality in and around Paradise has vastly improved, impacting the health of the people working and living across the estate, and saving millions of pounds in healthcare and social impact costs.
