Hey there! So if you see that you were only charged a service fee then it confirms that parking was free in that area at the time you initiated your parking session in the app. In the future, if you see that you will only be charged the service fee then you would not be required to pay for parking in the app until paid parking is effective.

I am sorry for your frustration. Unfortunately, the parking times and cost are configured by our clients, as we are simply facilitating the transaction. I strongly encourage you to reach out to the owner of the parking area and let them know that you would like different options with your parking. Also service fees helps our staff to make the app more enjoyable and user friendly for customers parking experience. Fees are charged per parking transaction and per parking extension, based on where you park.

@pk_sleepy We apologize for any confusion. For future reference, if you are creating a session, and see that the charge will only include the service fee, it is best not to activate the session as this is an indicator that parking is free.

Parking reservations are provided on a first come, first serve basis and the parking operator may tend to oversell their parking inventory where the area is completely full and no spaces are available. ParkMobile does not own, operate, or manage the parking areas where you park. ParkMobile is an alternative payment option for your parking area and permit provider. Please contact the facility directly if you have any questions regarding parking availability or assistance is needed on-site.
