The revised Land Pooling Policy by @AAPPunjab is nothing more than an attempt to mislead Punjab’s farmers while retaining the policy’s fundamentally flawed framework. Instead of addressing the core concerns raised by farmers, the @BhagwantMann government is offering cosmetic incentives to divert attention from serious structural defects.

The biggest gains from converting fertile agricultural land into urban real estate will accrue to the government and private developers, while farmers are left with inadequate compensation and uncertain returns. Even more alarming, the revised policy blatantly undermines the spirit of the Land Acquisition Act, 2013, which requires the consent of 70–80% of affected landowners before acquisition.

Punjab’s farmers deserve justice, transparency, and fair compensation—not deceptive policies wrapped in false promises.

The @AAPPunjab government promised ₹1,000 per month to every eligible woman as one of its flagship guarantees before the February 2022 Punjab Assembly elections.

After winning a historic mandate, it kept Punjab’s women waiting for nearly 54 months.

Now that the scheme has finally been launched from July 1, 2026, the @BhagwantMann government must pay every eligible beneficiary the full arrears for the entire period of delay.

A promise delayed for four and a half years is a promise broken. The @INCIndia and @INCPunjab will hold the @AamAadmiParty government accountable and expose its betrayal of the women of Punjab.

Today, I apprised Sri Akal Takht Sahib that the @AAPPunjab government chose to ignore the constructive suggestions made by me as Leader of Opposition on April 13 regarding the sacrilege act.

Governments must listen with humility, not arrogance, when institutions of such immense spiritual authority raise concerns.
