@missmaree73@matthewstoller Stop changing the subject. The standard being set is about "accomplishments." You don't get to change your standards because you happen to think one guy is has a better policy platform.
@dontsippy Why you do guys keep crying about "the establishment" or whoever trying to stop your guy? Chuck Schumer, the Pod Save dudes, and even James Carville are all in for your guy. Toping crying and enjoy the win.
@davidsirota You guys can't help but to play the victim can you? Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, the Pod Save dudes, even James Carville are all supporting Platner. The "establishment" is on YOUR side. Stop being a cry baby and support your boy.
@toweypat@matthewstoller So is winning two elections in a red state. Look man, all I'm asking for is some consistency. If you don't like candidates with little resume, fine, stand on it. Don't immediately change your standards because you happen to like the guy.
@PaulMWest@RachelBitecofer@thenation The nation is a leftist magazine, defiantly not the establishment. Platner is being supported by Chuck Schumer, the most establishment politician there is. You gotta get off this silly establishment vs anti establishment way of thinking.
@Jasper_Craven This is a new low. There is no military training or "conditioning" that instructs anyone to abuse women. Why can't he be responsible for his own actions?
@richiebee@GregJaffe I don't know why they were removed either. It's a but strange they were either black or women. I think an explanation is in order. Especially considering this is a very rare action by the SECDEF.
@richiebee@GregJaffe "Very likey." And how do you know this? It's wild that a black person makes a promotion list and you immediately scream DEI. The current SECDEF has been in office for over a year now, I thought all the DEI was removed? So why were these service members removed from the list?
@richiebee@GregJaffe Every year, the military services sends a list of who they think should be promoted. 9/10 this is supported by the SECDEF. In this case, he didn't support it and removed several names. They were all black or women. It's reasonable to want an explanation for this.
@richiebee@GregJaffe Lol. You clearly didn't read the article. The US Navy submitted their promotion list for approval. The secdef personally removed several officers from the list for no stated reason. Please read the article
@richiebee@GregJaffe The US Navy did. The Navy deemed these individuals fit for promotion based on the Navy's requirements. The secdef personally removed eligible candidates for.... Unclear reasons. However it's a bit strange the ones he removed where black or women
@therobotchicke1@PostLeftWatch When Trump was running, all the conspiracy theorists favored him. He was the guy who was supposed to take down the "deepstate" or whatever. Now all of a sudden Trump is "the government"
