Philippians 4:4-9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Here’s a simple way to get unstuck when you’re worried, overwhelmed, or overthinking a decision.
Ask yourself one question:
What kind of thing am I dealing with?
Most issues fall into one of three categories.
1. Settled Things
These are things that have already been decided.
Your birth family.
Your nation of origin.
Your height.
Your past decisions.
Your upbringing.
Things you did.
Things done to you.
Some of these things were decided by your own past actions. Others were decided by God’s providence. As Paul says in Acts 17:26, God determined our appointed times and the boundaries of our dwelling place.
You can’t go back and change these things.
So the question is not, “How do I undo this?”
The question is, “Does this have any bearing on what I should do now?”
If not, leave it alone. Don’t spend your life fighting settled things.
2. Action Things
These are things you have some real control over.
Your diet.
Your exercise.
Your spending.
Your work ethic.
Your attitude.
Your friendships.
Your theological knowledge.
Your presentability.
Your habits.
Your skills.
These are your controllables.
You may not control everything about your health, finances, relationships, or future. But you usually control more than you think.
So if the issue falls here, don’t overthink it.
Take direct action.
Start small if you have to. Make the call. Go on the walk. Open the Bible. Apologize. Apply for the job. Pay the bill. Clean the room. Do the next faithful thing.
3. Prayer Things
These are things outside your direct control, but not outside God’s control.
The economy.
The weather.
The housing market.
The availability of a suitable spouse.
Other people’s choices.
Timing.
Open doors.
Closed doors.
You can’t force these things. You can’t grab the steering wheel of providence.
But God can act.
So you take indirect action through prayer. You ask. You wait. You prepare. You remain faithful. You do what you can do and trust God with what only He can do.
So ask yourself:
Is this settled?
Then accept it and learn from it.
Is this actionable?
Then do something.
Is this outside my control?
Then pray and trust God.
This is a simple framework, and yes, it’s a little reductionistic. But that’s the point. The goal is not to explain every complexity of life. The goal is to get you unstuck.
Most people waste too much energy trying to change the past, control what belongs to God, or pray about things they simply need to obey.
So categorize the issue.
Then act accordingly.
Accept what is settled.
Act on what is yours.
Pray over what belongs to God.

NEW: 50 empty Waymos invade Atlanta neighborhoods and circle their cul-de-sacs for hours early in the mornings.
Residents say they are getting waymo traffic than usual and have tried combating the cars with a neon green sign, which only made the problem worse.
The Waymos didn't know what to do and clogged the entire street.
"We have small animals and pets, got kids getting on the bus in the morning, and it just doesn’t feel safe to have that traffic," one resident said.
The residents say Waymo has not given them a response yet.

Ex-Tesla President just revealed Elon’s decision that changed everything...
Elon looked at their struggling online sales and asked one question:
"How many clicks does it take to buy a Domino's pizza?"
They pulled it up. 10 taps.
Tesla was at 64 clicks to buy a $120,000 car.
Elon's response:
"We are 64. Domino's is 10. Let's go to 10."
Then they ran the data on their 360,000 car configurations.
Customers were only buying two.
They cut it to two. Sales exploded.
The most expensive product in the room was the hardest to buy.
One comparison changed that forever.
@Not_the_Bee For anyone saying, "they got what they voted for," you are making statements about election integrity in Minnesota that are not warranted. Pass the Save Act!

This is yet another reason why autonomous cars allow us to sleep during transport will compete with air travel, big time. It takes me 12 hours to drive from Minneapolis to Denver. If I could sleep in my car and wake up to supercharge, I would drive through the night and eight of those 12 hours would be accomplishing double duty, sleep and transport.
If I go by air, I must arrive at the airport two hours early, it is an hour drive for me to get to my airport, I usually fly two legs with an hour or two layover, then extracting myself from the airport and getting a rental car is another hour, sometimes more. Going by air still takes 8 to 12 hours. To do all of that and be treated like a cow being herded through a milking parlor and being set next to sick people who cough on you, and having to put up with small minded people who crowd the center aisle to get off as fast as possible at the end of the flight and who take your overhead storage. I think I would rather just go by car.
First world problem: I’m boarding my @Delta flight. Family with kids boarded ahead of me. They’re sitting in the back. I’m 1A. They put 3 bags in the first class overhead. I say excuse me I’m in 1A can you leave me room for my bags and take yours to your seat please?
Flight attendant yelled at me and made me put my bag in the middle of the plane.
I know it’s petty but If you’re in first class that should be your space.
If he is sanctified by the Holy Spirit, there is no man on earth who will ever love you more than your father. Others may feel chagrin over your successes that excells their own. Not your dad.
Also, no man on earth understands you the way he does, observing you and training you from your youngest years. Even you yourself were a witless child for most of it. He was watching, evaluating, and shaping you all along the way and may have insights into you in a way you might not understand yourself.
Thankful for my dad while I had him. Even his faults are cherished memories and occasional points of pride and thankfulness.
They say a father is the one person who quietly roots for you to outgrow him—to go further, do better, and live bigger than he ever could. There’s something really powerful in that. 🥹💕
