@AirPir_Southern Yes, of course; but we have a long history of short term work arounds while waiting for major capital projects to catch up. (“Unicorn” A-10’s being the most recent example)
@AirPir_Southern Quite possible, and maybe that’s the answer. ISTR the USMC operating OV-10s from Gators back in the late 80s early 90s. I’m guessing it’d be too much to ask for them to refit a KOV-10.
@AirPir_Southern That’s the rub for sure. Rotor clearance on the -22 makes a true deck run out of the question but IIRC, they can do a running start and lift off pretty damn heavy (think nacelles at the 45).
@AirPir_Southern AI seems to think 10k of give, which makes sense and compares favorably to existing tacair buddy tanking assets. Call me a cynic but I think the project died because no one on Team Green was willing to subvert the rifleman.
@GoodGuyGuaranty Fair point, but the sacred cow in this instance is absolute liability when it comes to property claims and not allowing comparative negligence. A single tweak in our state laws would drop rates in half.
