Another multi-hit game for Aiva Arquette in Pensacola, including his first Double-A home run. Very promising start to the season for the 7th overall pick
Even ignoring Mack’s plus bat speed and loud exit velocities, it’s a wonderful thought knowing the pitching staff will have an elite defender behind the plate for the foreseeable future
Potential big upgrade for the #Marlins with the switch here.
Joe Mack is a wizard behind the plate with a huge pop offensively. Some risk with his bat, but a ton of power.
Agustin going to AAA is shocking, but necessary. Needs to have a factory reset and find himself again.
The Miami Marlins are 3-0 to start the 2026 season, tying the second-best start in Franchise history (also 1997). It marks the third time they have swept their first series of a season (last, 2009, when the team started 4-0).
Can confirm that Victor Mesa Jr. is heading to the Tampa Bay Rays. He was traded for a minor league prospect.
@francysromeroFR was first with Mesa going to Tampa

Just a quick comparison of Baseball Savant bubbles, for those who focus on that.
On the left, newly acquired Bradley Blalock in 2025.
On the right, Calvin Faucher, the season prior to being acquired by Miami
These bubbles don’t equate to everything. #Marlins
Trade news: The Miami Marlins are acquiring right-hander Bradley Blalock from the Colorado Rockies for a minor league pitcher, sources tell ESPN. Blalock was DFA'd by the Rockies last week and gives Miami additional pitching depth after it traded Edward Cabrera and Ryan Weathers.
For someone as injury prone as Weathers, Dillon Lewis is a fantastic get as the headliner. Loud exit velocities and the swing decisions improved as the year progressed. Another fun, high upside power bat joins the Marlins system.
