@TheTopTopicSub@GolfCar5619@ESPNRefNHL Penguins fan here and a lot of the penguins getting screwed were self inflicted bad challenges. I think after January there was definitely some bad calls out of Toronto but early on I blame our video staff.
@jsquit@ImLeighh_ Eh… arm wrapped around the puck and chest over it… puck stopped moving until his arm got pitchforked. Might not have been in the glove but it was pretty well covered and ref definitely lost sight for multiple seconds.
@Ilikebigstats@worldhockeyrpt No, I know that. But those TV TOs are first whistles after certain minute markers (14,10,6 I think) as long as it doesn’t give 1 team an advantage. That ice scrape after an icing in OT is a MAJOR advantage to the team that iced it.
@Ilikebigstats@worldhockeyrpt I mean, that’s a rule in every period unless there’s something preventing it like an icing or some other reason a team can’t change. Or a PP is already happening. Weird to completely change it for OT.
@nicknactax Interesting perspective. I thought it was more to use what already existed to your advantage. Not to overturn already well established laws or rules in this case.
