The Israeli court approved the extension of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s detention, without charges.

The request for his immediate release was denied, despite the unlawful nature of his detention while carrying out his medical duties.

He is held in Negev Prison in harsh conditions, without access to medication or medical care, as his health continues to deteriorate.

We demand the immediate release of Dr. Abu Safiya along with 13 other detained doctors, as well as all medical personnel currently held in Israel. We call on the international community to intervene and put an end to this abuse.

Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was found dead after hours of searching under rubble. She was killed in an Israeli strike, after the Israeli army fired at ambulances trying to reach her, delaying her rescue.

She is the fourth journalist killed by Israel while in the field since 2 March.

She was a professional, kind and dedicated journalist, and always a pleasure to run into in the field.

@mccarthymt7 Difficult to disagree with much of that, Michael, but the NTPF is a sticking plaster applied intermittently to bind the gaping wounds caused by the failure to invest in buildings and staff. It also diverts considerable income from the public sector to private hospitals

Israeli Army Radio reports that Israeli occupation forces have established a "security belt" in southern Lebanon that includes 55 villages whose residents are not allowed to return.

This is ethnic cleansing. It is a war crime.
