In my mind, DNA is the smoking gun for an intelligent Mind behind life.
Whenever we encounter a language, a code, an information system, it turns out to be the product of an intelligent agent -- not of the blind, automatic processes of nature, as naturalism or materialism proposes.
The suspect in the Washington shooting is a “teacher of the month” who donated to Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign.
Cole Tomas Allen is accused of rushing a security checkpoint before opening fire at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Saturday night.

3/ But his backstory is what stands out.
Allen wasn’t a drifter.
He was:
— A mechanical engineer from the CalTech
— A former student researcher at NASA’s elite Jet Propulsion Laboratory
— A computer scientist with an advanced masters degree
At Caltech, Allen built:
– Offensive and defensive robotic systems
– Physics-based simulations
He graduated in 2017.
That year, he developed a shooter-style game called “First Law” — a physics-based space combat role-playing shooter game.
Later, he released another complex game, “Bohrdom,” on Steam.
He worked at C2 Education — where smart kids who want to get into CalTech get tutoring — and earned a master’s degree in computer science from California State University Dominguez Hills in 2025.
He was publicly recognized as “Teacher of the Month” in late 2024.
On paper, his trajectory reads as stable, even successful.
Federal records show he also made a small political donation during the 2024 election cycle to Kamala Harris.
President Donald Trump described Allen as a “lone wolf” and a “very sick person.”
This isn’t just about what happened at the Washington Hilton.
It’s about understanding the pathway:
— from elite technical training
— to game design
— to alleged real-world violence

Anyone who’s deployed overseas recognizes this look. It’s the look that says “we survived.”
Not “I survived the mission.”
Not “I survived taking care of the kids on my own.”
But “we survived.” Us, together. As a unit. A family.
God bless CW5 Slover. God bless his family.

@Natasha_Crain My tip is memorize 1 John 1. At least in ESV it's written in a way that's very easy to memorize. So many parallels within itself. Say it, handwrite it, typewrite it until you get it, then it will be there to calm you when you wake up in the middle of the night. Happy New Year!
A reminder from Atomic Habits:
New goals don't deliver new results. New lifestyles do. And a lifestyle is a process, not an outcome. For this reason, all of your energy should go into building better habits, not chasing better results.

Tragic. I asked Charlie Kirk questions in person on multiple occasions while reporting, and he was always happy to speak with me. Rest in Peace. Praying for his family.
