During the June School Board meeting, the Board recognized this year’s recipients of the School Administrators Association scholarship. The scholarship was awarded to 19 high school seniors whose parents are School District administrators. It recognizes their hard work, commitment to academic excellence, and community involvement.

During the June 3 School Board meeting, the Board recognized the Beginning Teacher of the Year and Mentor Teacher of the Year at the elementary and secondary levels.
The Beginning Teacher of the Year Award goes to an outstanding first-year teacher in the District.

Check out this amazing message for the Seminole Ridge Girls Flag Football team from someone who knows a thing or two about back-to-back championships.. none other than the GOAT himself, Tom Brady! Thank you for sharing in the celebration for this special victory.

The School Board also recognized the team for their huge accomplishment. The Hawks beat St. Thomas Aquinas 27-19 to win the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 3A state championship This victory capped off a 20-2 season and a number one national ranking.
Congrats again to the players, Coach Scott O’Hara, and Principal Bob Hatcher.

Workforce development in action 🛠️
West Technical Education Center in Belle Glade recently celebrated 53 adult graduates completing the 2026 Pre-Apprenticeship Program in Welding, HVAC, and Electrical.

In partnership with Florida Training Services, LLC, this tuition-free program equips participants with skills for high-demand industries.
The best part? Thanks to a generous investment, each graduate walked away with a trade-specific professional toolset valued at $1,000 to launch their careers!
