Last week, just days ahead of the 2026 @thecgf , @commonwealthsec Sports Ministers gathered in Glasgow.

Peace and Sport took part as an observer of the Ministerial meeting, alongside organisations from the SDP movement, to share grassroots expertise on a simple question: how can sport truly build stronger, fairer, more inclusive communities?

Ahead of the meeting, we shared insights from the #Peacemakers project, carried out notably in India and Togo — two Commonwealth member countries. They directly informed discussions on investing in sport educators.

Sport doesn't transform communities on its own. It's the people who bring it to life every day who make the difference.
